As per the title, managed to get the seat from the Mrs’ car in, but what a bugger to get it back out, Britax romer for info.

Anyone got any recommendations for an easier in/out seat?

Tilt the Passenger or Drivers seat forward then move the seat close as possible to the Dashboard. The seat should go in easier. Then put the seat back to where it was.
Repeat procedure when removing the seat ....... I know, it's a bugger but it works

Thanks, but did that.

I’m after something with a ‘narrower track‘ as it’s the isofix and release that is very, very snug.

What age group?

I was advised by the people at http://incarsafetycentre.co.uk as well as at mothercare that the Britax Romer was the only i-size / group 0 that fits safely in the rear buckets of my 991.2. They also said not to use the ISOFIX base for any of the major manufacturers in the rear for our rear-facing seat because, having tried them, the legs were so tall / the rear seats so contoured that the part of the base on which the seat sits was not sufficiently supported.

She’s nearing 3. As i said is the snugness of the base in terms of getting to the release isofox buttons that sems to be the issue.

Thanks for your response.

Sorry to hijack this thread a little. I'd love some recommendations for 0+ seats and systems. No clue what I'm looking at!

Cars in the fleet are the 991, a 2015 Mini JCW and a 2012 RangeRover Vogue. They all have ISOFIX in one form or another, but I expect the RR will be the main workhorse.

Thanks in advance

Jim

Apart from the 991, the Britax roamer is pretty good and is meant to see you through ages 2-7.

A bit late to this post but if it's still relevant I have a Porsche Car seat that specifically for 911's that if anyone wants they are more than welcome to it. I know some people are a bit funny about 2nd hand child seats but I had this for my son for very few occasions that I needed it, hence it's in brilliant order & now sits in my garage under a cover with no use, as he now doesn't need it. It's one of the car seats that goes from first time they go in a front facing seat right through to the bottom of the car seat popping out to make a booster seat. So I don't want anything for it, I would just it to go to a good home rather than just sit in my garage.

Was speaking to the other half, we‘re in Yorkshire, she suggested, if you’re willing that we could get a courier to pick it up.

Not sure if that would work for you? Obviously would need to work around your availability as wouldn’t want to put you out at all.

For kids up to 4 years old the Britax Romer Advansafix III SICT fits in the back of a 991.2

Found the perfect seat finally for my 991.1. Fits great and my 2 year old very happy an secure in the back.
