For those not attending Porsche on the Prom or The Cumbria motor show we are holding a Sunday Service in the car park situated on the outskirts of Buckden village (BD23 5JA) on the B6160 just on from Kettlewell. We will be in the car park from 11.00 armed with Bacon butties.

Mark we are attending the Cumbria Motor show on this date so unfortunately will be unable to attend.

Hi Mark,

I'm from London and heading up to the Highlands for a week's road trip. I should be passing through your way on Sunday lunchtime, traffic permitting. Do you mind if I say a quick hello and pinch a bacon buttie? I'm stopping over in North Wales Saturday night and planning on doing the Evo triangle before heading north for another stopover in Grasmere. I should be around your way about 12.30pm. Do you plan on staying for a few hours?

Hi Simon,

You are more than welcome to join us, we are normally in place until about 1.00pm obviously dependant on the how many show up the day. I do have to be away by 1.30 at the very latest this time though so that I can pick Carol up from the airport.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your reply. I should be there in good time so I look forward to meeting you next Sunday.

Simon

We will heading out from York, so could meet at Poppleton Garden centre, which doesn't have nasty speed bumps which I can't get over, about 9.20 head off by 9.30.

Planning to go York-Ripley-Grassington-Buckden way.

I have just found out that there is a cycle race kicking off from Threshfield Sunday morning but should be clear by 9.00 so should be ok.

There red is a slight chance that they could be returning as we leave but we should be ok.

Hi Mark,

I’m looking at my map right now and I think it’s going to be a little too far out of my way to drop in to say hello. Many apologies but thank you once again for the permission to gate crash your Sunday service. I’ll clearly have to get my bacon buttie once I eventually arrive in the Lake District.

No problem, it’s not really gate crashing, we all one Club.

We will pop a butty in the post :ROFLMAO:

Beautiful scenery, some great roads and good conversation, thanks to all.

Did Mark enjoy the drive back?, it looked like you did [:)]

Yes thank you, once that road from Buckden widens up it is lovely, as is the road from Leyburn. It was nice to have someone to follow for a change :ROFLMAO:

Got home about 2.15 and then straight out to Leeds Bradford.
