Hi all,

On the eve of my departure on holiday, I am leaving you with the confirmed date of Wednesday 23rd May for the May POTM. A booking has been made at the Red Lion at Yardley Hastings, a lovely country pub with a good looking food menu. It's a sister pub to the Red Lion at East Haddon, which some of you may know. There's plenty of parking and the chance to line all your Porsches up to show off to the locals!

The reservation is at 7pm, but if by popular demand this needs shifting it can be. With the evenings now getting longer and with no other attraction on this occasion, you may wish in my absence to arrange a drive and arrive and eat later.

Sue and Mike Rollings have kindly agreed to co-ordinate this event and liaise with the pub.
Food must be pre-ordered no later than 4 days before the 23rd, so please confirm your attendance on the forum here, check out the website at www.redlionyardleyhastings.com and email your orders to sue_rollings@hotmail.com (for clarity that's sue_rollings).

Enjoy the evening and tell me all about it on my return.
Happy eating and motoring!
Mark

Hi All,
POTM for May is fast approaching. In the aid of research and to make sure it's a suitable venue for all of you lovely Porsche fans, Sue and I popped in for a pint and a G&T yesterday afternoon while out with the roof down.

I am pleased to say it's a lovely old pub with a good menu and plenty of parking, also quite central for all just off the A428 at Yardley Hastings. A good choice by Mark G who is now sunning himself and touring in Oz.

Anyone interested please let me know on this forum or by email as I will need to let the pub know numbers by end of the weekend.

Best wishes
Mike & Sue

i will look at the menu and get back to you.

Hi All,
Peter, Susan and Colin, thanks for confirming.

It's good to see numbers are now growing for Wednesday evenings POTM, plenty of room for more though for anyone interested in a midweek airing of your favourite car. We will be speaking to the pub tomorrow to indicate the numbers so anyone else wanting to come along please get in touch.

Have a great weekend
Mike

Hi All,
Food is ordered at the pub for Wednesday evening, we are currently 10 people.

Having spoken with the pub manager, we should all be able to park together, arriving for around 7pm, have a chat and a drink in the sunshine then sit down for eats between 7:15 and 7:30.

Anyone still wanting to join, there's still time to book in and if eating please let me know your food selection in time to call them tomorrow (Tuesday) evening.

Cheers all,
Mike

Great stuff, Mike and Sue...
Sorry I can’t make it along too - working a long day until at least 8pm.
Enjoy the lovely evening weather [8D]
