Tyres for GTS 997

Sorry to start another tyre thread, but I think Michelin have discontinued the Michelin Super Sport, now replaced with the Pilot Sport 4S. Although the PS4 is listed in the right sizes (235/35 19F 305/30 19 R), the Michelin website only lists the Pilot Sport Cup 2 as fitment for the GTS, which I guess means the PS4s is not N rated.

Are Sport Cups now the only Michelin, and any objective views on these, the Pirelli P0, and Bridgestones? I don't much care about wear, so comfort, noise, and wet weather grip are probably more important than track performance.

I put new Pirelli’s on my C4S Gen2 car and the wet weather grip was great dry weather seemed good too

My current Gen 2 Turbo has the Pilot Sport 2 fitted. They are not new so may not be a fair comparison but I did Have older Pirelli’s on C4s before renewing them so my feelings are as follows

The part worn Pirelli’s were less grippy than the part worn PS2 in the dry but better in the wet.

New Pirelli’s were a massive improvement on the part worn ones (changed at 3mm)

Hope this helps

I’m planning to put pilot sport cup 2 on my GTS next week - as I’ve only read good things and don’t do massive mileage —as I’ve posted before I can’t personally get on with Pirelli as they always wear badly for me - I’ve done over 30k on my current Bridgestone fronts and the tread is still legal.
Black circles web site seem to have a number of Michelin’s in the size for the GTS but I did not check the N rating ( apart from the sport cup 2 which are N rated ) at just over £1000 for 4 tyres mail order I think that’s ok
regards
