Looking for new independent garage near London

Hi All,

I've been using Zentrum up near Nottingham for all the modification work on my car but whilst they've been excellent, they're a bit busy at the moment and it's also not terribly convenient for me.

I'm based in Central London; I'm looking for recommendations for local(ish) independents who are good, and also who have a good understanding of setting cars up for track use and the associated modifications.

I've been talking to 911 SBD in North London. They seem OK but wondered if anyone can provide more direct feedback. I realise that might be best done via a PM.

Tim,

Porsche Torque, Charles Ivey and No5 Garage are possibilities; all are long-established Porsche Independents. I've no experience with any of them but it may be worth calling to discuss your requirements.

Peter at No.5 did my pre purchase inspection and 1st service a yr ago, seems a small boutique set up, knowledgeable pragmatic guy, not sure if he's a racing set up expert , but as said, worth checking in with

Speak to Steve at Jaz St Albans.

Very knowledgable about air cooled, races them and is about to rebuild my engine for me .

i can highly recommend Simon Hope at Hillcrest Specialist Cars in Nettlebed just outside Henley-on-Thames. Have used him for over ten years for my SC’s

Sid at Porsche Torque in Uxbridge is excellent. Short ride to Uxbridge station, and Piccadilly Line back to Holborn.
My 987 .2 (new to me),has been looked after by them ,and still feels like new.
