Hi Everyone

Apologies for raising another post .... seems I am just going from one thing to another ..... but thanks for the replies I had regarding replacement tyres, was very useful and have ticked that off my list as sorted.

I am embarking on a project to replace suspension - feel its a good move for a 24 year old car and have decided on Bilstein B6 and standard Porsche springs to keep the ride height pretty much standard which is what I want. Had a quote for this work from a reputable and highly respected indi and was happy with their quotation figure. At the same time I asked for a figure to replace all front and rear rubber bushes with like for like quality - there is not major issue as far as I'm aware just thought it would be a sensible time to have it done whilst the suspension was dismantled. I had a figure of £1300 plus £400 labour ex vat. This did not include any component parts such as ball joints, wishbones etc. Just thought this appeared a bit steep? Yes I am looking for a second quote, but has anyone on here had such work carried out? Thanks for your help.

What are they going to replace? Its impossible to comment without knowing what is going to be done.

ive just bad 4 b6`s fitted ft lower poly bushs only
keeping std springs on
other bushs ok so left alone
service n b/fluid for 1300 + so sounds a bit steep but ?
im happy

Hi, I am just about to replace my lower front suspeension bushes. I have been recommende to use Powerflex bushes. There is a lifetime warranty with these. There is also a racing/track version called Powerflex Black. Hope this helps

When you say it doesn't include any component parts but it is £1300 + £400 labour, what is the £1300 for if not parts?

Just wanted to say thanks for the advise and recommendations over the last couple of months. Pleased to report that my 2018 project is now complete! Started with replacing the tyres with new Mitchelin Pilot Sport 2 all round .... The 295's on the back look awesome! The difference was immediately noticeable ( well after I stopped going sideways around the roundabout after just having them fitted when I booted the throttle --- yes I now know you need to bed them in!!!). A couple of days later had new Bilstein b6's, new standard Porsche springs, bottom arms, front strut top mounts, all the bushes, gaiters and anything else rubber underneath the car replaced - yes, standard rubber! The car is now sharp, responsive, quieter, it's amazing the difference... Can't stop smiling !! Great job at Ninemeister in Warrington. Was never going to be cheap was it ! Lol
