Hi all,

I am thinking of wrapping my 997.2 turbo from black to lava orange. Just wondering if anyone knows a reputable car wrapping company near Milton keynes?

Many thanks in advance.

No tips but love your colour choice. Orange and yellow are my fave colours. Think I would favour more of a tangerine orange tho...

cant wait to see pics.

Thanks JCX :) I prefer redish orange though ;)

Not exactly on your door step but have a look at Reep Midlands. My new car is going there for PPF etc in a couple of weeks when it arrives....coincidentally it's Lava Orange. I live closer to London than you but I was very impressed with them and they're cheaper than the firms in London.

Cool :) thanks for the recommendation. I will check it out. How much does it cost to have the ppf installed? Good choice with the colour btw . Lava Orange is epic.

Front end including rear arches etc is between £1500 and £2000 depending on exactly what you have done. That includes paint prep etc.

My GT3 is having front end PPF then Gtech ceramic to the rest of the car including wheels etc and interior treatments. Coming in at under £3k which isn't cheap but then it's better value than I have been quoted elsewhere and I really liked the attitude of the MD. The car is transported to their premises in a covered trailer and then they send it back to the OPC. When they deliver to the OPC they send one of their detailers with it to make sure it's absolutely to their standard for handover.

If you check out their Twitter feed there's pictures of a Range Rover they've wrapped

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. Congrats to your new car as well. I wish I could afford a new gt3 ;)

Thanks...I'm very lucky. Never dreamt when I was 14 or 15 and started getting into cars that 35 years later I'd be able to own something like a GT3.

Only thing I definitely have in the diary is "Your Porsche at the PEC" on 10th August. Assuming I can get the car run in by then I'll be taking the GT3.

Talking of running in that means I'll be looking for any excuse to get out for a drive so happy to meet up at some stage...I live in the Chilterns so not too far from MK assuming that's near where you live? When I drive towards MK I go cross country past Mentmore, Wing etc. We could meet up one evening somewhere if you want ? Bit of a 997.2 fan myself as well !

Lava's a bit of an odd colour when you look at photo's on the web and I don't think I'd have ordered it if I hadn't seen a GT3 in Lava at my OPC when I was about to spec mine. Can definitely look a bit washed out in some light despite it being quite a dark orange. I'm going for some brighter orange decals....hoping it'll come out well.

Definitely. I am only 2 mins from junction 14. Pm me for contact details? I really want to go pec but the insurance coat is mad. I quoted everywhere and the cheapest is 700 for the day...

I've taken my 997 GTS to the PEC twice without insurance...read up quite a bit and searched on forums for people's advice. It's much safer than being on a normal track...all the instructors have radios so know instantly if there's an issue with a car that's stopped etc and for things like the kick plate, ice hill, low grip etc the run off areas are big enough that there's not an issue and you can't go on them until all the other cars are clear. With regards to the circuits there's only one bit on the newer circuit where the barriers are near to the track.

Or change your insurance to one of the PCGB Insurers who include track day cover for PCGB track events.

Oh and one of the best things you can do is get an instructor to do a couple of laps in your car with you in the passenger seat....they make it look so easy and it really opens your eyes to how it should be done.
