Servicing recommendations -

Hi all,

I joined PCGB last summer following the purchase of my first Porsche, a '98 993 C2S. I still haven't made it along to the R5 monthly meet which is frankly appalling given that I only live a mile or so from the Deanswater Hotel, so apologies are due there !! Soon to be rectified now that the salt has gone from the roads and the covers are coming off [:)]

I bought the 993 last June from Paul Stephens in Essex and so am looking for servicing recommendations in the local vicinity. We obviously have Stratstones in Wilmslow but wondered if there were any specific recommendations beyond that.

Looking forward to meeting some local Porsche owners.

Thanks.

Dave.

Hi Dave,
Tony Greatorex is an indiependent Porsche service/maintenance guy that I would thoroughly recommend. He used to be workshop manager for Ian Anthony Porsche in Manchester which is now I believe OPC Wilmslow, and is obviously Porsche trained etc.
He has extensive knowledge of both water and air cooled Porsche & in fact used to race a 911. Tony has serviced/looked after my 986S since I bought it, & I travel over from Hull to go there!

He is based in Bramhall, Stockport & can be contacted on 0161 439 0550. Mention My name.

Hope this of help.

Regards Steve Todd

Hi Dave
Another highly recommended independent who I and others use is Ninemeister based in Warrington. I can’t fault them.
