Porsche Centre Nottingham - great service

Yesterday morning I was booked in at OPC Nottingham for the car's MOT.

Car has full OPC history, the last two being done at Nottingham.
I had the MOT done there last year, and took notice of the health check and addressed the comments where noted.

This year, booked in again, reasonably confident that the car would fly through the MOT.

Arrived at 850am and was greeted very warmly by Debbie on the service desk.
The technician, Wayne, who would be carrying out the work on my car was waiting for me for my 9am slot.
We had a quick chat and he took the keys off me and drove the car straight in to the workshop and onto the ramps.
I could see through the observation area, some beautiful cars in there!.

Debbie asked if I would like Wayne to show me the underside of the car while it was up on the ramps and advise of anything he could see immediately of concern, so of course I said why not.

Wayne came back through to the service area and escorted me through the workshop.
Right in front of us was Nottingham's resto 986!
Wow and what a cracking job they have done of restoring it ready to race this year.
Originally Lapis blue, its now white, with Martini stripes and red gloss wheels.
The bodywork and paintwork looked fantastic, done by Chartwells at Derby, and the wheels done by The Wheel Specialist in Nottm.
Wayne was fastest in the driving assessment at the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone so he gets to race the car on track at Brands Hatch!

Saw a brand new GT2RS that had arrived the day before - WOW! what a car.

Anyway back on to my car, Wayne seemed happy that the car looked in great condition, noting that you could tell it is a garaged car.
I must admit I'd washed it Thursday night before putting it back in the garage with the Meaco DD8L dehumidifier doing its job overnight.
The underside did look pretty tidy.

After a few minutes and not wanting to delay him any longer, the wife and I disappeared and left them to it for a couple of hours, deciding to pop to the Harvester up the road for a full English breakfast [:)]

When we returned, all my paperwork was ready for me, the car was waiting and I had a fresh MOT, no advisories and a Health check with no issues to look at.
All in all a very pleasant morning, and an enjoyable experience at OPC Nottingham.

10/10

The Nottingham Porsche dealership is where I purchased my new C4S. I thought I too would share the good service I also experienced from the same dealership:)
I wanted to replace my summer alloys and tyres for my winter set, however at home I just could not remove my alloys as they were well and truly stuck to the wheel hubs, so I booked the car in to the dealership, also as I'am planning to go with the PCGB 991 group a trip to Switzerland in June this year so I needed to replace my rear number plate to include the EU symbol, so asked if they could do this as well. An hour later all wheels removed and the centre hubs greased, plus the updated rear number plate fitted. I asked what charge for the work and I was informed these was no charge and provided me the car key back. What a present and welcomed surprise. [:)] One of the reasons I swapped my previous car manufacturer marquee as due to poor aftercare service!!!!!!!!!!

I appreciate its early days and I will not be needing a MOT just yet. Its great to get such positive feedback from fellow car owners on their experience they have had with their chosen Porsche dealership. [:)]

Nice to see positive feedbacks rather than the negative ones for a change.
Praise where it's due nice one. [;)]

Nice to hear you've had a good experience too Carlton.

They really are nice bunch at Nottingham.

I'm not too worried about the price of any servicing or repairs in the future as I work in a Honda cars/bikes dealership.
Any work I need doing can be done by our technicians, but in my opinion it's better that it gets done with someone familiar with working on these cars every day.

£2300 I think I've spent in the last year on small repairs/exhaust/tyres. [&o]

Quite right Cliff, it is.
And I think important to remind other forum members of this too.

I can only agree over the last 6 years the service department have always been top notch and they have also done little jobs for me FOC which at the time was unexpected but leaves a nice warm feeling.
Again praise where its due they understand the meaning of good customer care.
