Once again, the Club will be running The Cotswold Rally which, this year takes place around the Cotswolds (surprisingly enough) on Sunday May 13th. With all 135 places now booked it promises to be a really great day.

As before, the Region will be undertaking various planning and organisational tasks to ensure everything runs smoothly and it's a successful event for everyone. Things are well advanced having already chosen the destination venue, planned the route, attended event planning meetings, created the tulip maps, and tested the route (a huge thanks to James, Graham ad Brian). Now we're looking for around 15 volunteers to join the Event Team to help out with various marshalling duties on the day. These will generally be required as follows:

1. At the starting point at Cornbury House (checking in, briefing, managing traffic and flagging off);
2. Around the route (mobile and static);
3. At the destination (to welcome participants and manage traffic).

Those who've volunteered to help on the day are:
- Graham Simons
- Alan Bartlett
- Fiona Bartlett
- James Brickell
- Mike Stickley
- Emily Bartlett
- Martin Phillipson
- Barry Allen
- Andrew Occleshaw
- Bob Craik
- Steve Andrews
- Stuart Bennett
- Wayne Singleton
- Josh Stone
- Geoff Davis
- Timmy Davis
- Howard Thomas
- David Speck

If you're willing to volunteer in any way (as marshals preferably) just email or call us via our listed contact details.

UPDATE (22 April): All marshall vacancies have now been filled. A huge thanks to everyone who offered their time to help out.

Very many thanks for all your help.

NB. As an event marshal, you get to a wear an exclusive specially tailored limited-edition designer Hi-Viz vest bearing the words 'Event Team' and, as a bonus, display a highly sought-after limited-edition hand-crafted premium-quality plastic marshals' plaque on your car... plus you get free admission to the venue, and our eternal gratitude. Hi Alan

Looks like you have it well organised as usual - I am sure it will be a great day out for all. One day I will get there!!

Very many thanks for the vote of confidence Peter. We've a brilliant event team in the Cotswold Region who are consumate professionals when it comes to organising events and traffic management (thank God). We're amazingly fortunate.

Hope you'll be able to make it next year; we've a hi-viz tabard waiting for you... [;)]

Just to ask all those who have so kindly volunteered to give up their time to marshall at the Cotswold Rally next Sunday to aim to arrive at Cornbury House in good time for the Marshalls' Briefing which will take place at 08:00 in the morning. There are 135 cars taking part in this year's Rally, and we need to be in place to check the first arrivals in at 08:30 and get the first cars ready to depart just after 09:00.

So we can contact you on the day, please could you send a text message with your mobile phone number to us on 07785 928687 asap? Very many thanks.

Any problems or queries, please call us.
