Hi there,
I'm new to 911 ownership and have just bought an '88 3.2. Love the car, and since buying it last summer it has been perfectly reliable. Obviously I want to keep it that way and also maintain its value, as it has a FSH and in very good condition throughout. The question I have is I have a good relationship with a local independent garage who have done work on my other classic, a Ford Capri, and wonder if there are any drawbacks to using a non-specialist for servicing a 911? They are 'old school' in as much as they are happy to work on older pre-computer cars but not a classic specialist. Or is it significantly better to use a garage who are 911 experts? Would a folder with (recent) servicing stamps from specialists be that much more appealing to buyers? Any pitfalls or difficulties when servicing the aircooled 911s?
Thanks in advance.
