I have organised a rerun of last years Wessex Tour for Saturday 19 May.

For those of you that the thought of a whole day of Royal Wedding is just too much....here is a driving alternative.

We will start from Donnington Grove Hotel in Newbury at 10am and finishing around 1pm at the Crab and Boar at Chieveley. Close to junction 13 on the M4/A34 junction.

Please email me at aholymanjones@hotmail.com if you are interested.

No Carrera GT this year, it's away doing a track weekend in North Wales, hoping to have a Aston Martin DB4 and Ferrari 360 as guests.

Cheers
Adrian

Six cars took part today in the drive. We like the royal couple were blessed with lovely weather and quiet roads.

I brand new 991.2 Cerrara T collected on Thursday and arrived at Donnington Grove Hotel with 50 miles on the clock. In yellow. Easy to spot as we drove around.

At the other end of the spectrum a 1960 Aston Martin DB4. A very original car with a bored out engine, goes very sweetly. Not a slouch either.

We ended up the drive at West Berkshire Brewery new facility at Yattendon. It’s just had £6m spent on it. If you are familiar with american style micro breweries, this is right up there.

I think I saw you at Dick Lovett's and going down the fast lane on the M4 about midday. I was picking up some suspension parts for the Boxster.

Pleased to hear you had a good drive.

Thanks Alan. Indeed we where at Dick Lovett’s. Catherine Dall‘Occo Showroom Manager at Ferrari took us under her wing and provided coffee and biscuits in their lovely lounge, as we toured the cars both in this facility and across the street at Porsche.

You caught us on route to our next pit stop at White Horse Uffington for a well deserved ice cream or lolly.

i took a couple of photos so will try to upload.

I basically live on the route you took lol :)
Shame I hadnt seen this thread before today, as that would have been great, however, we did have a wedding party out the front, but you'd have been welcome for a pit stop :)

Maybe next time

I'll make sure to include you in the mailing list next time I organise something.

Hope your wedding went off ok.

Here are the cars (not in formal parking mode) at Dick's.

That'd be great, especially if its a similar area :) Yes, we had a lot of neighbours out and we had the weather for it, as did you :)

Cheers,
Mark
