Back due to popular demand [:D]

Another drive out post our regular monthly meet at Sharnbrook. The last one was great, heavy on pub socialising, not so heavy on tarmac!

I need to make sure this time I am home by 4pm, so I'm going to take organisers privileges and make sure the route is heading North from Sharnbrook [:)]

So, how about we aim to meet up in Oundle, perhaps at the Tap and Kitchen (they serve food all day from a bar menu http://www.tapandkitchen.com/). Not been there myself but has good reviews and it's by the river. My suggested route will be around 50 miles to get there, about an hour and a half, taking in some great roads. The route I am considering taking is below, but as always this isn't a rally or organised event so go under your own steam, plough your own furrow, make your own waves and get to the destination at 3pm?

Drive to the speed limits in place, your own abilities and the prevailing conditions.

Please can you respond so that I can book a table at the venue?

Hi Drew
Sunds good, definitely up for it...might even have the Boxster back on the road by then ?? Tap and Kitchen - good choice plenty of parking, good food and local beer (not that anyone will be drinking)! There’s a super little wine shop, Amps, closeby for those interested.
See you Saturday at DW ??

Hi Drew,

Good to see you today, please put my name down for this and I will confirm if its a plus one later[;)]

Kind regards

Neil

Gentle reminder for confirrmations of who will be joining us so I can book a table at the Tap and Kitchen.......

I may take a slight route detour around Finedon due to current roadworks, will check it out over this weekend to see if it impacts my route.

Everyone, I have asked to book a table for 14, waiting on the response back (I've allowed for a couple of people in excess of the 12 that have confirmed).

As I'm such a sociable person, and terrible at organising my diary, I probably won't be staying for food/drink as I've got to get to a charity event, suited and booted, in Kettering by 4pm. I know, organise something and then run off..... Sincere apologies as I know it will be a great laugh with you guys and I won't want to leave :-(

So, will confirm the table in due course and will be looking to leave Sharnbrook at 1:30pm at the latest.

Drew,

So like you I have a challenge.....my sisters birthday meal was booked for the following weekend, but due to some bad news they have brought the meal forward and worse still its at 7pm in Long Crendon, so whilst ok for the meet and drive, having something to eat before driving across the country to eat at 7 could be a challenge. However, given the effort in arranging this I will aim to stay until around 1720 when I will have to leave.

See you all Saturday.

Neil

Ok Neil, well you have some time to update everyone on your love life before escaping lol

Table for 14 confirmed. See you all at Sharnbrook, I’ll be there by 12.
