2 shout outs today.

First for the Rennline Mesh Grilles that I bought for my 991.1 C2S. Excellent quality and look like they belong on the car.

Second for William Hewitt at Walsingham, Norfolk who did a great job of fitting them at a very fair price. Highly recommended if you happen to live within range.

Do Rennline or Zunsport do grilles for 2018 991.2 Carrera models (namely the Carrera T)?

Cheers,

Simon

Ooooo, look at me, I'm getting a new 911T... oooo Get a load of me! :ROFLMAO:

Yes although my understanding is that they only pose a problem if any warranty issue was caused by them being fitted.

I will be going for the Zunnsport versions shortly. They definitmelt have to be removed before any OPC work According to them. Simon speak to Zunnsport as they may use your car as a template (free grills allegedly??)

Thank you. ??

I'll contact them once I have the car, although I suspect that the front of my T will be similar to a regular 991.2 Carrera as far as their grilles are concerned.

Cheers,

Simon

P.S. Would be good to see pics of your Zunnsport grilles and a report on your fitting of them. ??

My 991.2 C4 GTS was the donor car for the Zunsport Grilles which I got for free plus £250 to cover my expenses as I was required to visit once for the initial design and again for the fitting. They are brilliant and well worth it on the GTS which unlike the Carrera and Carrera S, does not have the grille slats which open and close depending on cooling demand, instead wide open and a much larger aperture for stuff to get in and damage the radiators. They clip in place and can be removed without taking off the PU, they have been on the car for almost 10 months with no problems and tested to over 160 mph in Germany with no effect whatsoever on cooling performance and they remained attached. Highly recommended and they look good too.??

Thanks this is an interesting topic. I have just ordered a GTS Boxster to replace my Targa. With the two exposed radiators they are likely to be wiped out with a stone hit.....my local OPC has two customers in the GTS this has already happened to. I will need to review ahead of delivery and take into account.

So Jimmy and Nigel.....have you decided whether to go for the Zunsport grills? I think I am going to sort this week as I will want them for the IofM tour in May.

I will, but not just yet.

Car is off to OPC shortly to have some little wee electrical gremlins shoo'd away and new bushing on the brake pedal.
After that, he's getting some paintwork done (Stone chips), I will MOP him again, and ceramic wax, THEN I'll do the grills.
