Has anyone fitted this to their 968? Assuming the sound level is within track limits and lack of cat will not fail MOT for year of car (1994). Anyone have any knowledge of this?

Thanks

I haven't fitted this to my 944S2, but when Promax (now gone) used to offer a de-cat pipe their advice was that it would be much louder, so I left it. Pity, because at the time their de-cat & silencer package offered an extra 10 to 12 bhp.

A 94 car would need a cat to pass the MOT. I think it is a requirement for all petrol cars registered from August 1992 on.

Thanks Chris - had that one in my ebay watch list.
Graham, maybe a further chat is needed for me with ProMAX - they're still around and about 20 miles from me - an excuse to back-road it in the 968!
Si, interesting. Wonder how this deals with a single product line whose engine hasn't changed during the requirement cross-over?

The manufacturers know when the emissions regulations are coming into force, so build the models before that date to comply.
