Hi all!

POTMs are events new to R10 intended to be run on midweek evenings once per month, in different parts of the region, to encourage members who want to mix and mingle with a way to do so. We hope that each one will be taken on by a volunteer (or volunteers) who can bring their own flavour to an evening and in doing so contribute to a variety of fun evenings out and improve the overall R10 membership experience.

A simple social gathering in a good pub with food and parking is fine, and is all that is expected......or it could be elsewhere...a bowling alley, a race track, your garden, a zoo!!

Some may like to try adding more.. a drive, a quiz, wheel nut fastening lesson, treasure hunt, skittles, darts, wine tasting, cake decorating, a speaker, flower arranging, a leisurely walk, a photo competition, how not to drive in the wet, the opportunities are endless. If you take an evening on, you get to organise something that floats your boat, and hopefully others will want a ride in it!!

So, I am kicking off with February... more details very soon. Mike Calvert has kindly offered his services for April.

Who would like to have a go at March, May and June - beyond if you like? Dates pencilled are 15th March, 17th April, 23rd May and 19th June, but these are not cast in stone... it would be good though, to get whichever date firmly fixed so members with busy diaries have every chance to attend.

Let the partying begin!!

Thanks.
Mark

Great, Mark - Obviously unlocked some talent here!

Out of interest, why is it POTB and not POTM[:)]?

Whatever... it will be marvellous for us all.

Hi Mark;

Sounds a great idea - hope to be able to make March 15th! I'll look out for further info!

Stu

Elite Motor Bodyshops Ltd www.elite-Motors.co.uk. have kindly agreed to let us visit their St. James Mill Road, Northampton (NN5 5JP) premises next Friday 23rd February from 6.00pm. It’s a chance to have a brief look round their impressive body repair and restoration facilities, and if you are interested, to see the current state of repair of my pride and joy after it was attacked by the M1’s central reservation barrier!!

Afterwards we will take the 15 minute drive to the Red Lion at Brafield-on-the-Green NN7 1BP, or you can join us there from around 7.30pm. Dining tables have been reserved from 7.45pm. I have been asked to provide food pre-orders by Tuesday in case we have a large turnout. Please check out the pub’s menu in their Food and Drinks page at www.theredlionatbrafield.co.uk.

If you will be attending, please reply to this thread, and also confirm (Elite/pub/both) by emailing me on mark.grimwood1@btinternet.com - please add your food selection to the email only. If you can respond before Tuesday, it would be helpful... if you don’t you might have to wait longer for your food!

I look forward to seeing you!

Mark
