R10 Rally.

Hi, for those that weren't at the R10 meeting today, we are looking for interest from you for an R10 Rally. Similar to the Cotswold Rally for pcgb members only, touring through Northamptonshire villages, with a bit of fun on the way, possibly including a boat trip. We had 17 interested from the meeting but would like interest from at least 40 or more. This would probably be in the region of £25/£30 per Porsche, of which a percentage will be donated to charity, and maybe finish the tour with a hog roast or bbq. A rally plaque will also be included. Fine details are to be sought and agreed but only if the interest is there. If we do get a good enough response and the legalities sorted we may be putting this on sometime in October this year. If it does happen and is a success then we may make this our annual event. This is not only open to R10 region members either. All pcgb regional members can take up this Rally but will no doubt be on a first come first served basis and actual places available also to be decided and agreed but the interest must be there first. Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks in advance, Gary.

Hi Gary,

Sounds like it could be a great event.

Keep the Clubhouse team updated with your plans as they develop. We help R31 with The Cotswold Rally by liaising with the MSA, taking bookings via the Club website, sourcing rally plaques etc

We’re there to help if you need it so just call if we can assist.

Thanks,

Chris

Well done for your work and info on this yesterday Gary, I will be interested to go on or help out as required.

Kind regards

Andy

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your support.

I think we may well need it.

It is very early days at the moment.

I need to see what the interest is.

I have got several rally plaque quotes already but there are many questions to be asked and answered.

I will give you all the details if and when we get enough interest and maybe you could then give me a step by step guide as to how to make it happen.

Once again, thanks for your support.

Gary.

Great, Gary - many thanks for your work on this. Together with many other good proposals for making even more of R10 for the members, it’s a very welcome plus to enjoy our Porsches!

As always I’ll be there with my support and assistance in making this work for us all.

Hi Paul,

It's Gary not Andy :ROFLMAO:.

You're very welcome.

Good reply from Chris from r31 eh?

Gary.

Whoops, slip of the brain (edited). Sorry Gary (can’t see your name sticker from here [:)])

Yes, Chris and the team at Cornbury House will be very helpful in advising us on this in more detail...

Gary

Sounds like a great idea. I'd be interested depending on the date. I live near Stamford so not that far away. Await further details.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the reply. Will keep interested members informed as this develops.

Gary.

Hi Gary,

Thanks for your overview on this at yesterday’s meeting, you have obviously put some thought and effort into this already. As long as we can make the dates then yes will definitely be interested.

i have a volunteer for a non driving Marshall at the start point as well.

Mike & Sue

Hi Mike/Sue,

Had two more interested on top of the 17 at our meeting.

I think it was Sue who suggested October?

But if this was to take off it doesn't mean it has to be the same month each year.

Thanks for your support on this.

Gary.
