New member saying hello.

Just collected my 944 Turbo late last week and spent a happy weekend cleaning and have a play with it.

A few little jobs to do, want to get it inspected and given a health check by a specialist (likely precision Porsche I think as they’re local) and then will carry out anything necessary at home.

Will also be looking for for some new wheels to replace the Boxster ones that are on it at the moment. I’m not a fan of those.

On the hunt for a nice headunit too!

The 944 replaces my old E46 M3, one of a fair few I’ve owned but I wanted to get back into a Porsche and have always liked the 944. Had one before but not a turbo.

Hope to make good use of the forums ??

More details, year, colour etc, Deffo loose the Boxster wheels, stay with period wheels.
And welcome, tons of knowledge here.

It’s a 1991 car, in Black with Cream leather.

131k miles, GAZ gold suspension, Augment Ecu, Japspeed exhaust, de-cat, Lindsey racing intercooler and wastegate, Brembos, MO30 anti roll bars......

Apart from the soon to be changed wheels, it looks nice and standard.

Hello and welcome! New turbo owners few and far between these days. Hope you enjoy the car!

Some pictures be nice!

Congrats mate!

i love my turbo and can’t wait to rebuild the engine this year so I can hopefully drive her again after being laid up for nearly 2 years now

enjoy yours mate ??

Someone has spent a few quid, sounds good, get some cavity wax / protection in the sills, rear suspension pick up points where it goes into the chassis, take the front wing bottom plastic trims off clean and protect, prevention is better (cheaper than ) cure and will preserve the car.
Loads of scope for go faster bits with a Augment ecu [:D]

Great to see another Turbo owner, welcome! Get some pics up!

Have a black Turbo in the bodyshop at the moment, it's had a full strip and glass out repaint, new sills, new jacking points etc. Dropped all new rubbers, gaskets, seals, side repeaters, badges and most importantly front wing Turbo decal off last week!

Hope to have it back in a few weeks, so excited!!

I would be hesitant letting a bodyshop fit the turbo decal, do they know where it sits exactly ? I have seen then fitted Incorrectly in the wrong position and it looks pants TBH .

The original was measured and photographed before being removed, and the replacement decal is a genuine Porsche replacement, so it'll be absolutely fine don't worry. :)
