Hi, I'm a 924 enthusiast based in Huddersfield.

I currently have three and a half cars:
1977MY 2.0 in mars red (with sunroof and most options)
1977MY 2.0 in mars red (without sunroof and lacking most options)
1988MY 2.5S Le Mans in black

The second of these will be going to Auto-graph in Wakefield next week hopefully for the bodywork to be sorted along with any remaining mechanical issues.
The Le Mans S is my daily driver and will eventually also go to Auto-graph for minor body and electrical jobs to be done.
Once those two are sorted the first 2.0 car will also go to Auto-graph for bodywork and mechanical attention.

I also have a half share with my son in a 1976MY 2.0 in viper green metallic which is at present a repainted shell needing to be built back up again.

As I am imminently about to retire I'm looking forward to having more time to use my cars which may include the occasional show.

I believe it's on points but as the engine is out and lacking its ancillaries I can't remember.

I see you've got an MGB - my wife has a 1971 Roadster which is getting close to completion after a marathon restoration begun by her first husband in 2009. He passed away in 2014 and it's sat in the garage with engine out and on axle stands since then. It's 45 years since I last drove one so I'm looking forward to getting behind the wheel [:)]

I will guess the early cars have points and injection, not sure, just seem to remember my martini 77, ( long gone), had both, glad to see another transaxle making the run outs

Welcome back Martin.

Be nice to get some 924s out and about.

It also seems that Porsche and MGs go well together, many Yorkshire members have, or have had, both.

In our case, the MGB GT was our 1st sports car in 1974,& was my wife's daily driver replacing a highly tuned 850 Mini-chosen because our then 7yr old son could sit in the back-it was followed by another Blaze red 1972 BGT,but we kept the green one, which is at initial stages of restoration.
By 1981/2,our son's head was hitting the roof even with the rear squab removed & a 924 Lux was the chosen replacement because by then both our son & daughter would fit in the back-after 9yrs we then bought the grey 924s which has been my wife's daily driver ever since ( although we had a Guards Red 964 C2 as well from 1991 to 2013 which she also drove daily in preference
