Rutland 2018 - New date! Sunday 18th March

It's that time of year again...
After some discussion with Mike I've booked in with Anglian Water again for [strike]Sunday 4th March[/strike] Sunday 18th March. Same format as the last two years, meet at Rutland water about midday, some tyre kicking/photos and perhaps a bite to eat at the cafe. Will do a convoy from Peterborough services as well.
Who's up for it?
For those new to the forum this is the regular and informal meeting for 944's at Rutland Water. It's traditionally early Spring and an opportunity to give the cars a good run after a winter hibernation. It's not a club event so you don't need to be a member of the club.

I plan to be there. It is a great opportunity to chat to other owners and look at the various 944 models.

Oh and they do a great bacon sandwich in the cafe

John

Hi Rob ...... New to forum and 944 owner ....... read good things about Rutland so if the old girls on the road I will be there ...... infact will be there even if she's not.

Mike

Thanks Rob for sorting the permit and setting the thread up. As he says it is very informal and just an excuse to wake those 944s that slumber over the winter and I look forward to seeing friends old and new.

Anybody who wants further details, please feel free to contact me 07811 944953, A9XXC@aol.com , or on Facebook - Mike Pollock

Cheers

Mike

A pity the date clashes with a PCGB Clubhouse Open day at Cornbury house and the TIPEC AGM. Sadly, this means I will miss Rutland this year.

We weren't aware of the TIPEC AGM, would be a real shame to miss you Glenn and potentially quite a few others as well. Cock-up before conspiracy, as they say! What if we were to try and move it to either the following Sunday or the one after that?

I'm not that much of a conspiracy theorist :ROFLMAO: I suspect quite a few members would like to do Cornbury/TIPEC and Rutland.

I can do the 11th, 18th and 25th, however, the 11th is Mother's Day so probably best avoided.

I always think later the better Rob. A bit warmer might attract an ever bigger crowd. Hopefully I will be there though.

Fantastic news, Rob! That's also made a decision for me, Trigger will not be SORNed at the end of this month.[:)]

Even better date. I plan to be there

Hmmmm . . .

Whilst I’m not a big fan of ”meeting up in a car park to look at identical cars” I may pop down for this. I’ve booked a 5 day trip to the ‘Ring at the end of May and could do with a decent run out before that as a shakedown. What better place to go to than a destination full of people in similar cars so if something isn’t right there a strong chance there’ll be someone there able to help or with a spare bit!!!

Judging by the last 2 years that's exactly what it is. Think I was out of there within the hour last year, and saved the parking fee [:D].
