987.2 Cayman 3.4 S PDK wanted.

Having temporarily suspended my search for a Cayman 3.4 S towards the end of last year I am now looking again for a sub £30k 987.2 Cayman 3.4 S PDK with a very good specification as listed below.
  • PDK gearbox with paddle gearshift.
  • Satnav/bluetooth.
  • Parking sensors.
  • Sport, Sports Chrono+.
  • Cruise control.
  • Automatic climate control.
  • PASM.
  • Mileage up to about 50k.
  • Good service history.
I know that I'm being very particular and that other owners don't regard the above as being essential but my previous 2.9 Cayman had all of these options except PDK and PASM which is why I want them on my next Cayman. If you are selling a car with exactly the above specification or know someone who has one for sale then please let me know by sending me a message. I might also consider a sub-£40k 981 S with the above spec. Thank you.

I'm still looking for a Cayman as specified in my previous post.

I thought I'd found one but I was put off by a less than perfect scratch repair and a cheap wheel refurbishment, and to cap it all it needed £800 of service work (at Porsche independent prices) which the dealer would only contribute £300 towards - anyway someone else has bought that car.

I'd still prefer to buy privately from someone who knows their car.

Andrew.

I'm no longer looking as I'm now the owner of a 987.2 Cayman S which ticked all boxes for the options I wanted:

[ul][*]PDK gearbox with paddle gearshift. Tick.[*]Satnav/bluetooth. Tick.[*]Parking sensors. Tick (rear).[*]Sport, Sports Chrono+. Tick.[*]Cruise control. Tick.[*]Automatic climate control. Tick.[*]PASM. Tick.[*]Mileage up to about 50k. Tick (much less).[*]Good service history. Tick (Full Porsche).[/ul]Thank you everyone who encouraged me to be patient while waiting for the right car to turn up.

I'm delighted with my recent purchase, it's a pleasure to drive and every bit as good as I hoped it would be....

Well done Andrew. Your patience is finally rewarded! We all know how good these cars look anyway, but blue looks fantastic.

Andrew, it seems like we were looking for exactly the same thing, at the same time in around the same place! I picked up my similarly specced 987.2 CS in Platinum Silver in Dorset on 2 Feb. My first Porsche and I'm very impressed.

I found them hard to come by in that spec and mileage, but definitely worth the wait!

Did you buy the one for sale at DeeJays sports cars? I viewed/drove that one and was very impressed with it. The main reason I didn’t buy was because the seller was not prepared to pay for all of the service work which was due - I can understand a private seller not to want to pay out on servicing to sell a car but I expected the dealer to pay for its service to be up to date (I think it needed a major service plus new plugs and PDK oil).

Anyway I hope that you’re enjoying your car, they’re great aren’t they?

Yes I did! I had the same thoughts regarding the service but they gave me a good part-ex deal on my old S5 (which I think they still haven't sold on...) that covered the cost of the service at Brookspeed Porsche in Eastleigh (who I would recommend if you're in the area).

Great car in a great spec, it still puts a smile on my face whenever I see it.

I had no p/x to take into consideration which is why I expected them to be more flexible with the servicing. I've used Brookspeed with my previous Porsche, they are the closest specialist to me, but I've been very happy with a couple of jobs done by Steve Bull at Devizes who were recommended to me by DeeJays when I looked at your Cayman!
