Anyone going from here, or fancy going? 31stMay-3rdJune. Might be fun to organise a small gathering...even if you're not going, a european road trip could be held to include an element of the parade...let's be inclusive and discuss all options folks.

Interested - not been on one of these before so need to know logistics vis. hotel details etc. please - thinking about going along if I can?

Hi All .....

I like your idea Phil of something less informal ( and expensive ) I could be up for that as only just brought my first 944 and it would be a nice stretch of its legs

As far as I am aware there are 14 cars/couples from PCGB going to the Parade booked and paid for and I believe it is now fully booked. Interestingly you could pay for the Parade by Bitcoin among other more normal means.

Porsche Parades are big meetings of Porsche Club members from all over Europe and often further afield (Japan, USA etc) they are supported by the Porsche factory and normally have members of the Porsche family present.

The Parades are never cheap but you do get 5 star hotels and 5 star treatment for your money.

They are usually held in English as well a local language where ever the Parade takes place, so there is never a language problem.

The normal selection of which Porsche Club(s) organises a Parade is firstly one in the North of Europe and in the South of Europe two years later. The last time PCGB organised one was in 2002 in South Wales.

Incidentally there were more PCGB members attending the 2016 Parade in Slovenia and Croatia ,despite the drive to get there, a great holiday!

So, I have the bones of an idea which might work for folk interested in a weekend away which may also allow for some convoy driving with the parade attendees if interested...:

It would include a Bruges stop-over (great city and even better beer!) and then either on to Amsterdam or on to Spa depending if you wanted to follow the parade attendees or go see a free to attend weekend of racing at the Spa circuit in the Ardennes region (my preference);

Spa Classic in May is superb, no big crowds and if arranged via website infield parking for classics, I have done a few now, feel free to ask for tips and details, may be going again yet.

Guys - can you keep this thread to Porsche Parade only and not highjack it.

If you want to discuss a private European tour please start another thread and remove your posts here.

Thanks you.

Perhaps you should remove the entire thread if that's your opinion Peter, after all I started the thread and subsequently diversified it, (I'm not going to remove my posts because I don't know how, but if you wish to remove the entire thread and start a fresh one, please go ahead).I don't see the problem with asking folks opinions on a potential side excursion that may attempt to tag along with the parade attendees, particularly as it is apparently all booked up, and so even if I/we did want to attend we wouldn't be able to.

Best regards,

Phil - I appreciate that you started the thread in good faith, but that does not mean you should change the topic of the thread and I remind you of the Forum rules:

4.0 Forum Etiquette:

4.9 Do not post new problems on someone else's thread and interrupt a topic of discussion.

If I was interested in a subject as described in a heading it quite frustrating to start reading and then be taken off in a tangent to something else.

Let's all just get back to the Title heading Porsche parade Europe 2018 Holland.

Those who are going or those showing interest in the Parade.

Anyone else going ? [:D]

Regarding those going to the Parade, I asked Chris Seward to put in PP a request for those who have booked and paid to participate to email or phone Mandy at Club Office so she could compile a list. It is on page 10 of the January edition and when I last asked there were about 3 replies out of the 14 cars booked.

Hi Cliff - some people may wish to keep there involvement in the PP private.

I would not disclose anyone's name on here unless they have given their permission.
