Hello all. Some of you may remember me after a club visit to my business, PMG Autocare.
My name is Pete.
I have owned a few Porsches over the years,
A 924S was my first, followed with a 944 square dash then a 996 Carrera 2 with full options pack and aero kit.
This June after the club visited it whet my appetite for another Porsche but a Cayman this time.
I set out hunting for a 2.7 car that was well optioned in an unusual colour.
I wasp pleasantly surprised by finding an 08 2.7 in speed yellow with all the spec I wanted.
- Sports Chronograph
- Full leather
- Sports seats
- Sports steering wheel
- Bose stereo
- Navigation
- PASM
- 19' wheels
It also had been fitted with a genuine Tubi Exhaust so the owner obviously had no problem spending money on proper, quality parts.
All with only 39k and a full history, it was well worth the trip to England to collect.
Since buying the car I have fitted some H&R springs and Eibach spacers, a set of Cayman R inspired stripes and had the lower splitters colour coded and the fog lamp surrounds painted black to match the mirrors etc.
I have some OEM+ style modifications being carried out at the minute to give the car a more GT inspired look.
Hopefully I will get to attend some events with the club this year. The car is an utter joy to drive.
I also have a BMW M3 (V8 manual) and a van for daily duties and keeping miles off the other two.
Once the Cayman is complete I want to begin looking for an air-cooled 911 as a restoration project to build a period race car inspired toy. This will be a very much long term project.
Thanks for reading.
