End of the year drive updates.

Update Regarding todays Drive



Have checked, the roads are clear of ice and snow, the drive is on. Plenty of water on the road. See you all at Llandovery.[:)]





The end of the year drive has now been finalised, please see the route and the docs in the links below.
Depending on the weather, please follow us on the region FB page or here for any further developments Saturday morning. I will not be able to send out emails at that stage.

The route will start from Llandovery prompt at 10:30 with coffee scheduled at the. Talbot hotel Tregaron between 1145 and 1230.
End of Year Drive 30th December

  1. 1. Depart from Llandovery Castle Ruins Car Park 1030
  2. 2. Take the A40 to Llandwrda for 3.5 Miles
  3. 3. At Llanwrda turn right for the A482 towards Lampeter
  4. 4. At 9.5 miles turn right for Farmers, (Use to be a pub on RHS Royal Oak)
  5. 5. At 2 miles after Farmers village turn left down a small lane for Llanycrwys
  6. 6. At 0.5 miles turn right. Red letter box on LHS.
  7. 7. Follow the road for 4.4 miles towards Llanfair Clydogau and turn right onto B4343
  8. 8. Follow B4343 for 3.7 miles to Llanddewi Brefi
  9. 9. Follow B4343 for 3.2 Miles to Tregaron
  10. 10. Stop at Tregaron for Coffee and toilets at the Talbot Hotel. Must leave here by 1230.
  11. 11. From Tregaron follow the B4343 for 5.8 miles to Pontrhydfendigaid
  12. 12. From Pontrhydfendiaid remain on B4343 for 9 miles to Devills Bridge.
  13. 13. At Devills Bridge take the A4120 for 3 miles to Ponterwyd
  14. 14. Turn right for A44 for 12 miles to Llangurig
  15. 15. At Llangurig turn right for A470 for 9.5 miles to Rhayader
  16. 16. At Rhayader turn left for A44 Leominster.
  17. 17. At Crossgates 8.3 miles turn right for A483 towards Llandrindod Wells 2.5 miles

TOTAL DISTANCE 78.4 MILES
