What have you bought your 944 for Xmas?

Given that this forum seems to be almost hibernating at the moment, here’s a festive thread.

What presents have you you bought your 944 this year?

As mine is still being slowly reassembled I’ve planned out the next jobs to do; I’ve got a full silicone coolant hose set to fit so treated the car to a nice new coolant header tank. These have jumped in price (again) so not much change from £200 after discount :(

Not bought anything yet,but in sleepless moment last night ,promised to buy the red Trackday 924S a new head overall set, and front tyres for it @ its sister grey 924S??

Leather for dash and centre console. Have also started recovering A pillars and roof lining parts. All the interior plastic getting renewed also. Time the inside had some Christmas love. Not sure whether or not she has been good enough for a new steering wheel yet?

Just treated it to :
New clutch, fuel lines & rear axle refurb inc new spring plates, bushes & mounts (btw I wouldn't recommend solid ones for a nice quiet road car... :) )
& promised it some paint/rust repairs in January

as there is no one and nothing going on in the 968 forum...........................

bought a new set of headlamp retaining rings. they are trims really

colour matched aerosol and some clear coat and all ready to go on

Those 968 fellas are rubbish!! I have to give mine a good wash and wax, went on a 600 mile round trip down south a couple of weeks ago, called in at the ace cafe, wasn't allowed in... needed a Nissan Primera!!

Apart from a Belts and rollers kit (which I need to pull my finger out and fit) I'm thinking of treating mine to a new colour on the wheels. Any suggestions?
Can't decide between all black or gunmetal grey... currently silver 5 spokes on a black-on-black car...actually I think literally all black might look a bit too 'nightrider'...

Although there are a thousand other 'small jobs' I could treat her to before I spend money on a new colour for the wheels!

2 DME relays ordered yesterday after experiencing loss of power at high revs.

Ordered 2 as I didn’t replace the spare in the glove box the last time I used it.

Crossdriled front disks, rears to follow, new pads and sensors and the plan is on calliper refurb over winter.

Are you doing the refurb yourself? If getting professionally done then I would allow that everyone of the pistons will need replacing mate. If you are painting as well then don't expect any change out of £1500. Gets expensive! Ask me how I know?

Well, got myself organised and bought the car tickets for a few days out:
Bicester Scramble Jan 7th
Prescott Open Classic
Silverstone Classic
Would have included Donington Historic, but tickets/club discount code not available yet!

The 944 particularly enjoyed Donington this year...PCGB's hospitality marquee sited for a perfect view of Craner Curves, the fresh coffee was very welcome and, best of all, the parade lap was well organised so that we could bash round at 60. A brilliant event.
