Thought I would share this with everybody as the warranty fix took 4 and a half months ! Yes it was in Porsche Tonbridge for 4 and a half months ! it had its own parking space in the car park I think !!
Started having the warning appear randomly which lasted about 30 seconds. Typically the oil pressure gauge and vehicle display would drop to zero Bar and the yellow warning appeared stating 'Oil Pressure Monitoring Fault'. This lasted for around 30 seconds and clear. The pressure then returned to normal.
To cut a long story short they changed the oil and filter first, then check sensors and replaced if needed. Then check wiring, checked more sensors, then change dials, then change engine control module, then check wiring again and finally change the oil pump which fixed the issue. The delays were caused mainly by Technical in Germany (as they were handling the case) as they required reams and reams of data before they allowed Tonbridge to complete the next task. Anyway hurrah for Warranty. I have since renewed for a further 2 x years.
