New member & 1st time Porsche Owner

Hi,

been search for a while and picked up my 61 plate Cayman 2.9 on Friday from OPC Bristol. Very excited to get to the car and drive back home to Plymouth. just a shame it was 80 miles of motorway before the windy A38 (Which I very much enjoyed in sport mode!)

Anyhow, hello & look forward to the adventure and meeting some fellow owners as well as sponging advice!!
cheers
Brian

    Hi Brian,

Good to have you on board the Cayman train and here on the forum: always a good place to ask questions and share impressions and ideas.

Enjoy your new car and try to get along to your local Club meetings to chat with fellow enthusiasts.

A word of advice re your other post - try not to take the bait and race everyone and his uncle....guaranteed it'll end in tears..!

    Hi Brian,
It's good to see you've joined the club and that you've finally got a Cayman you're happy with. At least you have peace of mind with a Porsche warranty ( it was my old car at the dealer that didn't work out for you).

Now let's see some pictures of your new car!

    Andrew.

Hi Andrew, the warranty, Peace of mind & spec worked much better for me, to be fair to the chaps at Brookspeed, they were exceptionally professional and offered every reassurance and level of service that I wanted and although my concerns were probably just nervousness and paranoia, they were equally happy to respect my decision not to proceed which I think speaks volumes about their level of service.

Will get some photos of my new car up to share! 🤓

Hi Brian, like yourself i got my first Porsche in June this year, Agate Grey 981 Cayman S.  Clocked up about 2500 miles weekends since i got it and been to several club events with the wife meeting like minded people.  The Cayman is a lovely car and i am sure you will really enjoy it. The club is excellent as well.  Be good to see some pictures of your new car.

Thanks for the advice and feedback, I'll get some pictures this weekend, but I'll warn you it's black and gen 2 so I'd say it's gonna look like the other black gen 2's!!! 🤓
