Just a reminder of some of the Regions events for the coming months. As ever with all events, its first come first served when space is limited.
Regional Concours - 23 July The Old Ferryboat
We reported in last months Porsche post a Provisional date for our Regions Concours. We can now confirm its all systems go for the 23 July 2017. Please make your booking by return e mail. We will need your Name and Car model and year. We have secured permission for a limited number of cars to be parked for our Concours on the riverbank at the front of the Ferryboat.
We will also be having a guided tour of Hollywell on foot with a local Historian. Awards will be made for the best cars in class. Space and catering arrangements for pre booked cars only. The guideline timetable of events is:-
1000-1045 Arrive, Coffee Tea and Danish Pasties.
1100 - Briefing
1110 - 1200 Time for a last minute Pre concours clean
1200 - 1300 Gudided Tour of Holywell with local Historian Peter Cook
1300 onward Concours marking and Lunch in the Ferryboat
1530 onward Results, Prize giving and farewell
Super Car Sunday - Sharnbrook Hotel
We have been promised a larger area to park for Super Car Sunday. The event takes place on Sunday 3rd September 2017 at the Sharnbrook Hotel. As many of you know this Italian owned Hotel runs the event on the day of the Italian F1 GP. It looks like the Red cars could be in with a shout this year so perhaps the Bubbly could flow. Pre book for a space on the Region stands and booking also taken for PCGB reserved Lunch tables whilst watching the Italian GP on large screen. Bookings taken at club night or e mail me.
River Cruise
Don’t forget our Drive/Dine/Cruise on the River Cam on 17th September 2017. The cruise will commence at 1500 hours from the Plough Inn, Fen Ditton, Cambridge. CB5 8SX. Dining.
