Squealing sound when I pull away

when I pull away in first gear in my 997 C2 there is often a short squealing sound, almost a bit of a screech. It normally last a short moment and only happens when the car is warm. Mileage is 44k so wondering if it could be the clutch. Any ideas?

Engine belt is slipping. Get it tightened up or replaced. Not a big job.

    Hello Linda,
Sorry to hear about your troubles.
There have been reports of some Macans developing a juddering on the rear that appears to be due to transaxle failure from water contamination in the lubricating oil. Apparently it gets in through the axle vent pipe and Porsche have now modified the system to avoid reoccurrence of the problem . I am told my local PC have already replaced quite a few.
I hope you manage to get it fixed satisfactorily.
    Regards,

    Clive

Good idea to start your on thread on the Macan forum, Linda, rather than hijack this one!

I'm speeding because I have to get there before I forget where I'm going.
