Servicing

Hello R4,

I am looking for recommendations for garages for servicing. I'd been keen to hear about any particularly positive experiences around Lincolnshire. I have a 996 and usually use Hartech, but would like something closer to home. All help gratefully received.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi Dan,

Hartech have good rep, but are a fair way away.

The only Porsche Specialists I know of in 'Lincolnshire' are 911 Sport at Horncastle, and Gantspeed at Mareham le Fen. There is also Ben at Rennspeed who are now in Retford.

Ben did some work on our first Boxster when he was in Gainsborough, and i have no complaints. I know Richard, previous RO and now ARO, uses him and will probably be along before long to give his feedback. Others also do use him.

I have not used Gants or 911Sport, other members may have but i can give no personal feedback.

Rod, RO R4

Hi Rod,

I spoke to him and he informed me of his new baby, I of course congratulated him on his happy news.

Cheers

Dan.

Hi have you tried Zentrum at Calverton I use them and are very good they do all Porsches old and new they do have a web site Mark

Thanks Mark, I have seen good reviews on the net for Zentrum, I might give them a bell and see what they say.

Cheers,

Dan.

I'd second the Zentrum recommendation. I take both my cars to Mike and the team - great bunch of guys and very honest in their work and pricing. We're even taking the MX5 and Mini when they need work too (obviously we ask nicely first given that neither of those cars have Porsche badges on them) :)

Hi Dan

Only just seen this.

I have a 997 that needed some bits going and spoke to some guys on here. Im Lincoln based so first went to 911 Sport in Horncastle, and to be honest I wasnt over impressed.

I then tried Zentrum in Calverton and have never looked back.

Mike and the guys do an exceptional job and will try and save you money so I would try those guys to start.

Regards

Matt
