Moved to appropriate forum. Have you checked out the prices at the PC concerned with your club discount?

Am I correct to say that as a PCGB I would get 10% on the parts only or is there a discount to the labour side of it as well?

Thanks for the info and apologies fr sticking it in the wrong forum! I'll contact the OPC and PIE.

On another note, sometimes the car will not start. it seems to make a 'tick or 'click' sound as i turn the key. I pretty sure it not the battery as i have checked the charge and its ok. It's quite random when it does this and if i lock, unlock the car it tends to start. it's been doing this on and off for a while now but it seems to happening more frequently - Any ideas?

Surely if the Clutch switch had gone, would you not get the display on the dash asking you to depress the clutch pedal?
Would the Click/Clunk be more related to the starter motor, possible the solenoid? or possibly a corroded engine earth strap.

I had 3 clutch switches fail on my 987 Cayman S (presumably the same part as on a 997) without any of them giving the "press the clutch" message or throwing a diagnostic fault. Porsche eventually changed the design. The symptoms were similar to those described but there could be plenty of other causes.

Cheers for info. I'll try and get the clutch switch replaced first. If that doesn't work maybe have a look at the starter motor!
