We are organising a two day Weekend Of The Year (WOTY) which will start at 10.00 am from The Knighton Hotel, Knighton, on the Shropshire/Powys border on Saturday 7th October. Saturday's drive will cover approximately 140 miles on some of the best driving A class roads in Central Wales, with an overnight stop in the Snowdonia National Park at Seiont Manor Hotel , Llanrug, Nr Caernarfon. The return drive on the Sunday will again be approximately 140 miles but traversing different roads. The lunch stop on the 8th will be in the Aberystwyth area and the route will then return to Knighton for the finish with tea and cakes at The Knighton Hotel.

The entry for this event will be limited to 18 cars/rooms on a first come first served basis. The cost will be as follows:

Dinner, Bed and Breakfast at The Seiont Manor Hotel is £73 per person (based on 2 persons sharing a room). A deposit of £7.30 per person is required, cheques should be made out to "Seiont Manor Hotel”.
www.seiontmanor.co.uk

Details for the lunch stop with cost will be advised later.

Accommodation at The Knighton Hotel is available for anyone wanting to travel to the start the day before, (or even stay on after the finish) and this will be at a cost of £63 per person for Dinner, Bed and Breakfast. A deposit of £6.30 per person is required. Cheques should be made out to "The Knighton Hotel”.

As the accommodation for both hotels has to be reserved in advance, we would ask that all those who are interested in taking part indicate their interest to Philip Sloper at philipjsloper@gmail.com by January 14th at the latest.

A 10% deposit will be required by this date, (refundable if cancellation is received up to 6 weeks prior to the event) and then full payment will be required 6 weeks prior to the event.

For details of the deposit amounts, please see above. Deposits should be sent to Philip Sloper, 2 Newfield Place, Hagley, West Midlands DY9 0FB. But please email him first to confirm your place.

Hi Phil and Mel
We are giving priority to R13 so I have put you on the reserve list for now, but we will try to accommodate you if at all possible.
May I suggest you send me your deposit cheque (see original post for details) with your home address, then if we can't find a room for you I will post the cheque back to you.
But hopefully that will not be necessary!
best wishes
Phil

Hi everyone who has booked to go on our weekend away in early October (which the club calls a "WOTY”)

We need to pay the balance for the Seiont Manor Hotel and the Knighton Hotel at least 4 weeks before the event, so no later than the 8th September.

You can pay by telephoning 01286 673366 and paying by credit or debit card, or by bank transfer using the details below:

Bank details: Rural Retreats and Leisure UK Ltd
Natwest
53-50-41
55445438

Sorry but they are no longer accepting cheques.

The cost is £73 per person per night at the Seiont and £63 per person per night at the Knighton, less the 10% deposit already paid.

As for the lunch stop on the Saturday, this will be at the Gorwelion Centre in Bala (no pre-order required) and on Sunday it will be at Gwesty Conrah Hotel, Chancery, Aberystwyth.

We will have menu choices for the Sunday stop in due course.
