Zunsport mesh guards on a 981

Thinking about putting some mesh into the front bumper to give the radiator some protection - bit concerned at the scars when I was dragging some leaves out!

Looked at Zunsport but seem to get mixed reviews on other models being fiddly to fit - anyone tried on a 981 (or even another manfacturer?)

Thanks

Andrew

Andrew

I had heard they were a pain to fit so I called in when passing and they fitted them for £35

Well have decided to go ahead with this as have realised that when we go up to Norrth Wales on M^ we drive right past them! I will let them do the fitting!

I fitted these ( the outer ones only) and whilst they were a little tricky managed OK and I'm as big a cack handed amateur as the next man ! Might consider the centre one too ( though nothing there to protect as such) but could be a useful "space".

This weekend all 3 at the front are being fitted - feel doing the centre one will look more complete

Just seen this thread.
I have an unopened box from Zunsport with:-
1 x ZPR47013 - Porsche Cayman 981 (Manual/PDK with Sensors) - Front Grille Set (Black Finish)
1 x ZPR43212(2) - Porsche Cayman 981 (Manual/PDK with Sensors) - Side Grille Set (Black Finish)
Cost approx £270

If any one is interested then please PM me.

Went into Zunsport (at Cannock) on Friday - brilliant service - front sections all fitted in under 25 minutes.

Has any one had any problems from the OPC'S when taking the car in for service etc.
I am thinking warranty issues. Thanks

I had some fitted to my Turbo and checked with my OPC at the time and they were okay after all it saves on warranty rads, I need my GTS to go in for a service soon so will find out if Nottm OPC take the same view.

They did not fit properly on my 981

i had black mesh fitted behind the bumper on my 981...

That looks very neat. I did something similar to protect the radiators on my motorcycle.
How difficult and how long did it take you to remove the bumper?
How did you attach the mesh?

I actually gave some mesh to Dovehouse as i wasnt happy about removing the bumper/sensors by myself, they charged me around £60 and alot cheaper than Zunsports and neater i think as had zunsports on my 986 3.2s and i didnt think much to the finish of them

I think I am going to entrust my local specialist with the plastic mesh material I have bought, unfortunately our new house has no garage as yet and I can no longer crawl around under cars like I used to.

Can you remember where you got the mesh from? That looks just right and very neat.
If you search for black mesh there is a significant choice on the interweb!
