To all new Caymanites!

In order to get you and your car onto the Cayman Register all you need to do is to go onto the forum or website and go to the “My Profile” tab upper right side on the screen and then edit your vehicle details onto the profile page, if you have more than one Porsche then you can edit details as such and be in more than one register.

Enjoy driving your car, note that you are not tied to any one region and so if the allocated regional meetings or the membership doesn’t suit you then it is perfectly acceptable to use any other ( usually neighbouring ) regional meeting to suit yourself, even to attend other regions if on holiday etc. I have several friends who attend two or more regions.

Regards,

Just bought a Cayman GTS at the weekend, picking up in a couple of weeks.
Live in West Midlands so will try and get to the Tuesday night meet in Berkswell.
Looking forward to some good advice from fellow Cayman owners.

    Cheers,
    Spenny

Hi, my 2nd post (the 1st was about "Where's some good places to find Caymans for sale" etc.....job done a couple of weeks ago, and now have a well preserved and looked after 2007 S in a very dark metallic green (looks black most of the time). Will post a pic once I have all the forms back with the registration details. Looking forward to the Wales tour in a couple of weeks!

    ..A-hoy Gang,(another Newbie)
First Foray into the world of Porsche...got myself a Black/Black 2008 Cayman...put it in for a health check at Porsche Guildford (lovely people) and 120,000mls major service and come back with a four page 'Quotation For Work' to the tune of six grand.....how I laughed.....
Still....LOVE the car and the Porsche brand....wormed its way under my skin already...
    Geoff.

Hi - tried uploading new pic of my car...but give up!

Created a URL from the pic but doesn't seem to work??? Obviously designed for an idiot like me...:)

Most sites just allow you to upload from a folder, but not this one (I'm on a Mac)...

    ...?

    Chester,
I know exactly how you feel. I struggle to load pictures onto the forums. When I do manage to load one I cannot remember how the hell I managed it. Might be an age thing?

I don't even know what or how you create a URL? I tried to drop a photo onto the forum from a photo taken with my iPhone, it was not having any of that.

I've looked on the forum and cannot find anything that gives advice on how to upload images - would be a good addition I would suggest???

Like I mentioned previously, any type of link to add from a folder is simple and straightforward - but it asks for a URL (which would normally be a web link) Most of us would just have images saved on your PC or MAC (unless you store them on the Cloud?)

    Adrian,

You have hit the nail right on the head. All my photo's are on my PC but backed up on a stick. I dont have a web address I dont even use "Cloud". Yes, I am aware I am out of date and old fashioned its just the way I am or maybe its the way I walk.

Just did that on my iPhone and selected pic from photo library no problem - every time i click upload it just keeps asking for an image although I have already selected one...

Just seems to me the process is just a bit 'clunky' and not very user friendly...?

But like I said - maybe I am missing the downright obvious???
