Never thought I'd get one.

I collected my GT3 RS on Wednesday afternoon after 3 years of asking Porsche Centre Wilmslow at every opportunity and always coming away without a positive answer. Several news cars came and went and resigned to the fact I wasn't to be a 'special one' shifted my interest to a 911R. There was no response to that question but the subject quickly changed to 'there might be a chance of getting you an RS'. Questioned about what I would do with the car my answer was to use it within the club and have the ultimate car for the Register Secretary. So out of the blue came an order and the chance to spec the car in any of the RS colours plus Miami Blue and Racing Yellow but no option of colour to sample. My view was that the car needs to be in a loud colour so after dismissing the Ultraviolet and Yellow decided that Miami Blue was the one for me. Interior had to have yellow details/stitching to match the yellow callipers. I really wanted to change the colour of the silver door pulls but at around £600 pounds for 12 inches of yellow belt we all agreed that Porsche were pulling the other one.
The car has just been detailed and ceramic coated by Griffiths Detailing and looks stunning. I only had chance on Wednesday for a couple of short drives before the 2 day preparation but the process has now had time to cure and today I can really get the feel of my new toy.
Looking forward to Silverstone next weekend.

Phil Thats a Lovely shade of Blue you've picked for your 991 GT3 RS
and the Yellow Stitching in the Headrests looks Perfect as does the
Yellow Seat Belts and I hope you enjoy the car and I look forward to
seeing it at the Silverstone Classic on Sunday 31st July if your going
as I'm sure it will get plenty of Pictures taken of it too.

I am at Silverstone all weekend and coincidentally my car will be in the 991 Register Parking!

Looking forward to meeting everyone there
Cheers

Phil

I was with Admiral (max 5 cars) but just swapped over to Elephant which is also part of Bell Insurance. Elephant is the same company as Admiral with no restriction on the number of cars. GT3 RS cost £690 for 12 mths.

Looks fantastic - vibrant colours really suit the RS [:)] Congratulations.

See you Friday!!

Looks fabulous, I love the colour combinations, I wish I was a little more adventurous sometimes !!

Well done Phil and congratulations. I will make sure I will not park next to you on Sunday @991 register parking. Looking forward to see the car.
