Hi Guys I'm a newbie here

If possible I'm looking for your reviews on the Hayward and Scott bypass pipes ?
I don't want to make the exhaust note tiring on a long journey ,.but would like more sound from the exhaust
during normal road use./

just looking for your thoughts if you these fitted

Is this thread still active, just sold my 981s and replaced with a gen C2, lovely car but seriously anemic exhaust sound after the S!!

Hi Paul, I fitted the Hayward & Scott bypass to my 997.2 C4s. I have covered around 10k miles on various road types. The sound has been vastly improved & I have never found it too intrusive, would highly recommend the change as the car is far to quiet in standard trim.

they are doing a 10% discount, code 911UK so price £288 to the front door... i have been in touch with the guy that runs the firm and deals with Porsche:-
'they are made of 304 stainless & we guarantee them for life'.

There is a video on their site and it sounds fine!.... i've ordered one and will be getting it fitted next Thursday. I can upload a vid after if that helps?

that sounds a really (really)  good deal ,I notice its a different design from the Hayward and Scott  / Kraftwerk design they are simple
crossover bypass pipes the Topgear one appears to be joined in the centre ?,thinking out loud here ..would that not lead to a more
turbulent flow ?

hope the fitting goes well and look forward to hearing it ...and your review :)

Hi
ive watched some reviews and read that the x pipe might be as effective, sharkwerks have a good video...hence buying... they also give a higher pitched sound which I like.... ill let you know how it goes!!

are the sharkwerks bypass pipes joined in the centre similar to the topgear  ( so an x pipe) as well ?
I had read that Hayward and Scott ,basically based their design on the sharkwerk design ,so not a x pipe , tried to keep the by pass pipes as straight
as possible to aid gas flow .
Either way I'm sure it will be a great improvement in sound, at a truly amazing price .

Fabspeed appe a r to do both,  the H&S type and now a x type.  The x type is open where the pipes join... apparently they say it scavenges better?
I wondered about the bend too... but at the power gains reported are pretty similar there may not be much in it?

I've emailed the MD and he has said that the topgear pipes merge the exhaust gasses I  the same way as the fabspeed... they claim a significant rise in torque and bhp

That is super service ,glad to hear about the build ,looking forward to hearing your review.
I'm still undecided ....x pipe or straight pipes ....gotta say (and I have no real reason) I am swaying towards the straight pipes

Crispin I can’t seem to find the x over pipes on the TG website. I’ve been looking to do something to make my car sound better. I’d be interested to hear your car once it’s done to see if your pipes are the ones to go for.

Topgear 'x' pipe fitted today by SCS Honiton, fitment spot on.... Sounds a peach from start and throughout the rev range, noticeable in the car under mild acceleration to full on wail at higher revs. The standard sounds very flat in comparison... anyway, very happy... 280 + 100 for fitting... what's not too like!

Paul, if you send me your email i will try to send you to sound clips... pretty poor quality though!
