Hi everyone.

Has anyone tried waterless car cleaners. There are loads out there now on the market and wandered if it was time to adapt. Would save a lot of time applying water/shampoo and drying off etc. Any thoughts?

Secondly, what do others use to prepare their cars. I currently use;

Autoglym shampoo for washing
Zymol cleaner wax
Autoglym wax
Mequires hot rims wheels cleaner
Meguires endurance tyre gel

Is there better out there on the market?

Thanks

Everyone will have their preferences with products, but think the process you use is the most important. I would add snow foam with a lance before the shampoo in your process. If your paintwork feels gritty to touch (after wash) then you will need to clay-bar the bodywork. As mentioned detailingworld.co.uk is the place to go.

Steam car wash is the coolest car wash. An important advantage in most cases of [link=https://www.fortador-usa.com/]steam cleaner for cars[/link] passes without the use of chemical cleaning agents. The effectiveness of a professional steam generator for steam washing lies in the fact that high-temperature steam breaks the adhesion of dirt to the surface, and due to high pressure.

I have some of the Meguiars Waterless Wash n Wax knocking around - if the car is properly dirty or I'm at home then it's snow foam, prewash, proper polish/wax etc depending on time. If I've cleaned the car and driven to an event or want to take an errant bird poop off, then the Waterless WnW is pretty handy. Wouldn't use it on anything than a lightly dusty car if it was for a full clean though.

Plus the time they say is BS... you still need to do the job properly.

In terms of the overall process - I've got some of the Autobead products. They seem really good. I do like the Meguiars gold class shampoo and the hybrid ceramic wax though and the Augoglym fabric cleaner/conditioner for the wife's Audi soft top is good.

Autobead did a "Detail Like a Pro" guide which is interesting (no, really) reading for the steps etc to follow - snow foam, prewash, contact wash, decontanimate, polish, wax... Obviously they want you to buy all their products to fill each of those steps but go with your personal preferences.
