997 Register goes a-tweeting!

Following in the footsteps of R21, R3 and the Boxster register, the 997 register now has a Twitter account.[:)] It will be a few days before we have control over the tweets but after that it's our intention to keep you right up to date with 997 events and news via this method, in conjunction with the forum and Porsche Post. The "Googlegroups" communication method is now somewhat out of date and inaccurate, as far as the membership is concerned, so we felt it necessary to keep you informed by the most reliable and quickest means available.

If you don't have a Twitter account it's dead easy to get one

https://twitter.com/

and, once you have one, you decide which "feeds" to follow. (For example, there is a Club Silverstone Classic feed) Then when a feed you are following tweets you will have the latest info - so that you won't miss out on the announcements of our popular tour events and the like![;)] Here is the link to the register feed

You can have a Twitter app for your phone and also via your laptop/pc/tablet - so there's no excuse for not being "in the know"![;)]

I'm still finding my way with all this stuff too but if you have any questions/suggestions etc then pm/post or e-mail.

See you at the bird table.....[:D]

That's the one we're using for the Social Media accounts Nick as the Club logo lozenge doesn't work well in a square format.

Our regional crest works.

Fair point Nick, but the Club's Social Media guidelines that are being implemented over the coming months will promote the use of the blended crest logo for all social media applications. The rationale being the Club wishes to promote a consistent look and feel across all Club-endorsed communications media whilst minimising production costs.

You haven’t actually mentioned what your twitter name is ...?! Is it 997 or 997 register or TS Captain

Bit of an old thread now but, for some odd reason, the link has disappeared from that post. However, it is still in my signature.........PCGB_997

[:)]

Just resurrecting this thread and the Twitter feed!

Unfortunately I cannot reinstate the old Twitter handle, so we have had to create a new one along the same theme, which is now @997_PCGB

Also, I have set us up on Instagram using the same name of 997_PCGB

Please follow, and I will get more and more content and messages on there as I can.

Many thanks

I'm sure Alan or I would be able to reinstate the old Twitter account if you need it. Unfortunately the last 2 RS's didn't utilise it at all.

Regards,

I can get a password reset sent to the 997 email for the previous account, if needed? I have to confess to not using Twitter and Instagram anymore.

Alan, Clive, many thanks for the input. If you could get the password reset to the 997 email I would appreciate it and I can then run both.
