Cayman Headlamp Dipping Changeover ( Gen1 )

Changing the headlamp settings between that for UK and Mainland Europe may seem a daunting task but it's not so difficult as it may seem, here it is laid out using the information in the Driver's handbook and a few additional explanatory notes. Note that these instructions are for the Gen 1 Cayman with Bi-Xenon Lights.

In part as shown in the Driver's handbook and with some additional information/advise from Gary W and myself.

    Hi,
I have the pdls lights which turn.
I have removed as per handbook and cannot see any T/O switch?
I assume these are symmetrical beams and don't require modification
    Does anyone know different?

    Peter,

I presume that like myself, you have a 987 Gen2 Cayman or later.

Although I've not used the changeover facility, page 214 of the Driver's Manual shows the postion of the T/O lever for Bi-Xenon headlights (which I assume includes PDLS).

    Hi,
    No I don't think so.
I had a look and could see it in settings.
PCM is pretty basic compared with BMW I drive which does.

On the PDLS the changeover is not controlled from the PCM and in the book that I have the pictures are a waste of time! They are on the wrong side of the lamp!

I've taken photos from when I switched mine over but until I can load them I won't write up in the forum
