Porsche Acronyms

Newcomers often have problems understanding Porsche Speak and so this is to help anyone's understanding, please feel free to supply more.

ABD - Automatic Brake Differential
ABS - Anti - lock Brake System
AOS - Air/Oil Separator
CAN - Controller Area Network
CDR - Compact Disk Radio
DME - Digitale Motor Elektronik (Engine Control Unit)
DSP - Digital Sound Processing
HID - High Intensity Discharge (Xenon - type lights)
IMS - Intermediate Shaft Seal
MAF - Mass Air Flow (sensor)
MOST - Media Oriented Systems Transport (Fibre optic comms loop).
MY - Model Year
OBD - On Board Diagnosis
OPC - Official Porsche Centre
PCM - Porsche Communications Management (Satnav etc)
PET - Porsche Electronic Technologies (The Porsche Parts Program)
PIWIS - Porsche Integrated Workshop Information System
POSIP - Porsche Side Impact Protection System
PSM - Porsche Stability Management
PST 2 - Porsche System Tester 2
PU - PolyUrethane (Front bumper material)
RMS - Rear Main (oil) Seal
RoW - Rest of the World
TC - Traction Control
TSB - Technical Service Bulletin
VIL - Vehicle Identification Label
VIN – Vehicle Identification Number
PTV - Porsche Torque Vectoring
PCCB - Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake
PSE - Porsche Sports Exhaust
DFI - Direct Fuel Injection
PDK - Porsche Doppelkupplung (Double clutch gearbox)
UAI - Universal Audio Interface

    VTG - variable turbine geometry
    TPM - tyre pressure monitoring
    And I think you'll find they are just known as PC - Porsche Centre - now

    In the Porsche Post magazine I've seen references to the acronym WOTY, usually associated with trips away and overnight stays - what does WOTY stand for?
