Morning all, I have a Saratoga sunroof for sale. Item is mint apart from a small crack in one of the plastic covers for the locking mechanism. £450 plus post.

Crumbs. Never actually seen one of these in the flesh, so to speak.

Hey Alasdair - which version is it? Manual or electric sunroof fittings, and brown tint or grey?

Hi Tony, I think it is an manual one but I have been told they still fit the electric ones apparently. Will need to check the tint but think it is grey tint. Will have a look and get some pics at the weekend as it is still in its wooden crate.

Would love to see pictures of it when it's unpacked, never seen one in real life

The way I understand it, the fixings are different"”and replacements are impossible to get hold of nowadays. I could be wrong through, I'm only going on Internet chat with Americans.

If it's a grey one and it will fit an electric setup, I'm definitely interested. Could save you the trouble of postage!

There's a suggestion on Rennlist that Pilkington are making a new run of these. Price appears to be around the $500 mark.
No idea if it will come to fruition - my only dealings with Pilkingtons for a remake of an obsolete product wasn't exactly positive. I think I'm still waiting.

Looks like it is a grey tint and is a Lexan one not glass. Looks like it would fit in an electric one but I ran out of time tonight to see if I could get it in. Would definitely fit an early manual car. Comes with it's original protective bag as well.

Now then thats as rare as rocking horse poo....! Thats the first time I saw a pic of one in the flesh...

A lucky find for you Alasdair... Well done...

I would take it if it had a brown tint.. [:(]

Alasdair,
does it have "LOF" (Libby-Owens-Ford) stamping on it ? All original glass & lexan versions should have it.

Been away all week working so not had a chance. It is hard to say what tint it had so could be brown. I think the label will tell.

Am away working this week Jim so will be home Saturday. Give me a ring to remind me, my brain is a little taxed at the mo as am nightshift,

I'll keep an eye on that for a last minute bid - there are probably not that many people with a car with a suitable sunroof for that! (he says hopefully!). I'll probably ask you to put a few more bits in the crate at the same time though!

Thanks for parts previously supplied!
