Porsche 964 Turbo for sale

1991 Porsche 964 3.3 Turbo £32,950

Originally supplied by AFN Porsche UK with the following options
- Special order paint (L999 paint code)
- Full leather interior (Special order colour: Sherwood green)
- Roof liner, a&b pillars in leather.
- LSD
- 8 way electric and heated sports seats
- Windscreen green graduated tint
- Sunroof

I bought this car 2 year ago and it was meant to be a keeper but a change in circumstances means I have decided to sell.

I got the engine rebuilt due to a common broken headstud

Over the last 18 months (6,000 miles) I have spent close to £30k making the car perfect. This includes the following;

ENGINE
- Completely stripped and fully (top and Bottom) rebuilt by Richard Chamberlain (www.ctrdevelopments.com),
The rebuild included the following;
- Crankcase split and New Big End Shells and New main bearings shells fitted
- New Porsche Rod Bolts
- Heads machined and beadblasted
- Pistons beadblasted
- New ARP headstuds
- Schrick 964 N.A cams
- plus all the standard items replaced like, gaskets, seals, valve guides, belts, chain sets, chain tensioners, speed sensor, piston rings, plugs, rockers, filters etc etc (the list goes on and on)

TUNING
- Adjustable WUR & RPM Switch (delayed enrichment till 4,000rpm)
- Zeitronix ZT-2 AFR meter
- New Injectors
The car has been set up perfectly by Stuart Paterson (SPautobhan). The difference this makes to the performance of these cars is night and day. Very linear performance. Slightly over 400bhp and drives unbelievably well.

OTHER MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL
- Turbo Charger internals all replaced and rebuilt
- New Porsche Motorsport Wastegate
- Major and minor Oil pipes replaced
- New Clutch
- New Flywheel
- New Starter motor
- New Alternator
- New Fan hub bearing
- New ABS pressure switch
- New Oil level sender unit
- New A/C condenser, receiver drier, ballast resistor as part of the conversion to R134a gas
- Brake calipers overhauled and new plates fitted,
- Calipers Painted Red with White Porsche Logo
- New Porsche brake Discs
- New Porsche brake pads, Pagid on fronts
- New Battery

SUSPENSION
- New Hartech replacement Porsche front wishbones
- New ARB bushes and brackets
- New Bilstein HD`s and Red H&R Springs fitted and Geo'd.
- New Michelin PS2 tyres x4 (225 x 40 x 18, 265 x 35 x 18)

OTHER ITEMS
- Windscreen rust removed and skuttle resprayed
- New Alpine head unit.
- New Clifford Cat 1 alarm

Upgrades carried out by the previous owner
- Haywood and Scott Cat by pass
- RS Steering wheel.
- strut brace,
- RS short shift
- 1 bar spring
- After market diverter valve
- Genuine 3.3 Turbo S speedlines

The bodywork is in good condition although there are the usual stone chips on the front bumper and bonnet. Interior is in great condition.

Qualifying for classic car insurance the annual premium is under £400.

Last serviced was a full service including tappet adjustments and was done in February 2011 by CTR Developments, Bilsteins also fitted and geo`d then.

Everything works as it should (even the air con is nice and cold). Current mileage is 136,000 but this is truly an example of buy on condition not mileage. The car needs absolutely nothing and will provide someone with very low cost running for the next 100,000 miles. 5 owners, no accident damage, massive file of receipts from my work and previous owners. Comes with Porsche UK Certificate of Authenticity.

Feel free to ask any questions but you really need to view to fully appreciate this car.

Not having much luck with uploading pics. There are more available here http://www.911uk.com/ads_item.php?id=2541

Note: calipers were painted Red since taking the pic below.

Just a suggestion, I`ve been looking at getting a 964 NA and a lot have cream or other interiors i`m not so keen on but have made a few enquiries and its actually really easy to change the interior to black (whch is what I`m after). What you can do is get a new black carpet set from Southbound for £700 slides. Strip down all the leather and die black for £1k and then sell it for more if your going to do that. Sorry if im stating the obvious, just wanted to share that info as I know not everyone might not be keen on green.

Thanks, I wasn't aware you could do that - I will bear it in mind.

BTW, does that include the dash leather ?

Hi guys, Just want to jump in here and explain what I`ve come across..

Yes you can re-dye the paint. there are various places that can do it. I took my car to http://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk just priro to Christmas to enquire and retriming vs dye. I`ve got the guys details if you need but he quoted me £1k The quote included the dash and every other piece of leather in the car, including the handbrake and gear boot. I said I would remove all interior trim bits and supply those and I think that would make it slightly cheaper than the abvoe price as it would save him a couple fo hours labour. They guy explained that leather starts out the same colour and is effectively painted various colours. I was assured that the you would not be able to tell the difference between a factory black vs a recoloured black. The creases that are currently on the leather would still be there as they only way to fix that is to recover the seats in new leather.

Southbound could supply a Porsche black carpet set for £720 including VAT or you can go to places like C&N customes and get a Porsche black carpet set supplied and fitted for £800 (C&N were recommended from someone else on here).

So bottom line, you can have black interior in the car if you want for less than £2k. Gabbot and Brown quoted for £3k to completely retrim all leather in black and replace carpets in black, but as my existing leather is in such great condition it seems logical to re-dye.

I know I`m biased but when I compare this to the £60k non turbo at JZ, I know what I`d have, I'd like to think its a pretty reasonable price, if perhaps too cheap myself.

Yes I could spend £2k on the interior and then sell for more but its probably easier to sell as is and give someone the option on what colour they want the interior. One guy e-mailed the other day and when we spoke about interiors he said he preferred cream so black clearly wouldn`t work for him, although i`m interested to hear peoples thoughts.

    Sorry for the long post.

Lets hope so, although i did see some adds in the "wanted" section for 3.6 turbos but they are more than double the price.

A guy from Hong Kong contacted me with a few questions and asked if I could take a quick video of the car so shot this this evening. Its not great and I`ll do another one when the sun is shining, but it might give anyone on here interested a bit more of an idea of the cars conditon.

    Takes a while to download.
