I agree - I took the teledials off that car when I owned it and really regret doing so - 16" teles are the knees of the bees imho.

Car up on stands... Batwing off.. I have figured out how I am going to connect up crappy sidelights for the NCT and most importantly how I am going to reverse the process once the NCT cert has been obtained .. Starting to build up my own design of indicator units.. They are anything but aesthetically pleasing but they will work

Front foglight now replaced

Most importantly took sneaky run of about 25 miles "Just to make sre that all was well" And it was more than well

Id forgotten just how capable and rewarding these cars are....

Drove mine round the back roads to North Berwick and ended up tailing a British Racing Green Aston Martin DB6 for about 10 miles in the pouring rain.

Drove mine to Bracknell and back yesterday (230 miles) and then went to Stockley Park, Heathrow today (200 miles).

On the way home I was rolling along the Bedford Bypass at around 80 leptons when firstly a little white van came flying up behind me and sat there weaving, so I pulled over and grinned wildly as he took 30 minutes to overtake me and then a Blue 5 series come flying up behind me and sat right on my A*se, at this point I had slowed for some traffic before noticing that it had 4 blokes in all with white shirts and black epaullettes.....they then pulled off into Bedford

I made such good time on the way home I stopped off and let the Poles give it a quick wash, just to remind me what colour it should be.

Highlight of the day was when a colleague asked what it was worth and made a suggestion of £12-14k!!

I have shampood the hood twice and given it a light scrub to get the green algae out, then gave it two or three coats of Renova recolour.  Next week I are mostly buffing off all the black steaks du e to the very very light drizzle which still made the dye run.  Waiting for another 500 mls of dye before reproofing it.

Took the foglights off the front of my S2, filled in a large stonechip with some clear epoxy from behind, and stuck some helicopter tape on the front.

Also dismantled and cleaned the two small clear plastic pieces that fit alongside each foglight, so they no longer have dirt in them. This made the lights look clear and new, rather than grubby and dingy - a great improvement!
