Recommended Tyre Pressures

These are the recommended tyre sizes and cold pressures for the 964 which can be found in the Porsche and Michelin guide published in 2006:

16 inch wheels

Front: size 205 55 ZR16 pressure = 36 Psi (2.5 bar)
Rear: size = 225 50 ZR 16, pressure = 44 Psi (3.0 bar)

17 inch wheels

Front: size = 205 50 ZR17, pressure = 36 Psi (2.5 bar)
Rear: size = 255 40 ZR 17, pressure = 36 Psi (2.5 bar)

Note that there is no listing for 18 inch wheels for any 964 model in the above guide. Therefore where 18 inch wheels are fitted the pressures need to be taken from later 911 models. The same tyre guide lists the pressures for 18 inch wheels fitted to a 993 (all except the GT2) as being 36 psi (2.5 bar) at the front and 44 psi (3.0 bar) at the rear.
