This heavy duty strut is for the turbo, to take the weight of the teatray spoiler. You could even remove the one from the other side, to save weight !! The system was supplied in UK by Hamilton & Palmer in Sevenoaks, Kent. Tel: 01732 760022. Speak to margaret Heather. They have a refurb kit for Â£15 inc P&P which contains new casing, rubber buttons, new battery and screws. Delivered next day, dead easy to swap the innards from the old fob into the new. Only reason I ask ,I've had previous classic cars let me down over old pump giving up!! Last year I suddenly encountered very sluggish running, fired up easily but wasn't happy, wanting to stall all the time and well down on power. It was one of those rare events where the simplest possible solution actually worked in that I replacement fuel filter and immediately cured the problem. This coincided with a period of relatively little use of my car for the first time in my ownership and I had visions of gunge in the fuel due to petrol sitting in the tank for too long and possible ethanol erosion of fuel lines so I had the fuel pump swapped as a precaution as I really didn't like the idea of being stranded. No repeat of poor running. Mileage c 74k. Quote Reply #30
