Having taken delivery of my Boxster GTS in March this year I’m trying to plan a road trip to Lake Como in May next year. Has anyone done this? Took the ferry from Harwich to Rotterdam. Down through Germany. Ticked off the Stelvio Pass. Stayed in Como in a hotel Close to ferry terminal. Great place to explore the lake, catch the train into Milan and we also did the F1 in Monza Via train from Como. Quote Reply #4

mr pg Guest of the Club Total Posts : 404 Joined: 2007/07/26 13:15:42 Status: offline mr pg Guest of the Club Re: Driving to lake como 2023/10/02 22:53:27 (permalink) Take 2-3 days getting there and have some fun on the Andermatt loop (Grimsell, Susten, Furka and Nufenen passes) and Gotthard passes in Switzerland. You could add in the Stelvio which is spectacular to look at but nothing special to drive. Another option is via Annecy (worth staying), D902 to Bourg st Maurice, Petite St Bernard pass to La Thuile, then Aosta valley route. At Como the road around the lake is pretty narrow in places, and avoid driving into the LEZ in Como town. Quote Reply #6
