Sunday 30th July - Impromptu Run to Carter Bar

Ahead of Thursday’s Trackday at Croft, it occurred to me that it might be a good idea to take my car out for a bit of a shakedown run.

I’m going to head out on Sunday morning from the Shell Garage at Heddon-on-the-Wall, along the Military Road, up the A68/A696 to Carter Bar - stop for the obligatory photo - and then back down the A696 to Otterburn Mill for a coffee and also obligatory cake.

It’s only about 60 miles from Heddon to Otterburn that way, and another 25 miles back to the A1 so no more than a couple of hours all in.

If anyone else fancies it then meet at Heddon from 09:00 and we’ll get off at 09:30 - feel free to continue off at Carter Bar or Otterburn if you want to extend things as hopefully it’ll stay dry until early afternoon.
