I had similar and my iPhone socket was full of fluff! Carefully remove it all with a cocktail stick

My phone works fine in my wife's Porsche, so alas not that simple a solution.

Didn't stop me looking into my phone before I realised it worked for 4 hours in hers last weekend!

Thanks though.

Seems to be getting worse, but keep losing connection & needs to be removed and then connected again.

I have tried a different lightning cable, but no joy - assuming therefore the cable between the USB in the glove box and the PCM rear is somehow damaged. Cannot seem to find anything similar to this on google.

I prefer using the cable vs BT Aux, as find the volume difference when switching to radio invariably means the radio is blaring loud vs the lower volume of the BT Aux.

Any ideas from the forum gurus?

Just had the wife's PCM back from Cartronics as the PCM board had failed & it wouldn't boot up - rather not have another expensive moment with mine!

OK used BT today for the AUX, was fine but sure it sounds worse.

Also my USB doesn't seem capable of charging as fast as the phone loses charge which seems to indicate something wrong somewhere!

Anyone else finding the cable not charging their phone fast enough vs battery usage in playing?

iPhone 14 pro here
