Rear Defogger (demister) not working - 996 Targa 2002

Hi All,

I cannot find any info on the site regarding this issue so posting to hopefully get some assistance from the community.

My rear demister/defogger on my Targa (2002) is not working. The contact terminal has de-bonded from the rear wind screen and it is now not making contact with the wind screen at the terminal. The fuse etc are all checked and fine.

Is there any solutions out there to fix this? Apart from purchasing a new rear windscreen which is mega £££.

Many thanks in advance

Andrew

Hi Andrew
There are various conductive glues for this issue and videos on you tube. It's not an uncommon problem something like the following is what you need. PERMATEX electrically conductive Tab Adhesive.
Good luck
Andy

Hi Andy,
Thanks for responding on this. I have now checked out the youtube videos and got Permatex on order!
Best regards
Andrew
