Oil sensor too much oil

Hi, last summer I had my oil changed as part of the normal service, my 981 doesn’t have a dipstick and I think the garage did overfill it. However the warning of overfill came on whilst in the garage and the took some out and all was good. A month or so later on my way home from Le Mans in June the warning of too much oil came on, I stopped turned off and when restarted the warning was gone. The warning remained off until about a month later it came on and finally went off. Now 6 months later with no issue in that 6 months the warning came on again. After a wait and a restart there is no warning and if you check it says the level is correct.
So if I am now an oil producer I should join OPEC, but more likely the sensor is at fault. Has anyone had this issue or has any advice.

If you can, nip to your OPC or local indie and ask them to plug it in to PIWIS as this will tell them exactly how much oil is in there however, it may well be a sensor issue if you keep getting a warning.

The other option is to have the oil dropped and replace with the recommended amount. If the warning comes back on then you know you have a sensor problem.
